Original Song: My Father & Me

My Father and Me

With divine inspiration, this song was composed spontaneously in a few minutes while singing and worshiping ad lib one afternoon.

LYRICS

The lies of the enemy will not overcome me, no!

Because my Father,

He watches me

And He knows my name.

He knows every hair

On my head.

He sees every tear

That falls on my bed,

And He holds me

In the palm of His hand.

The lies of the enemy will never overcome me, no!

Because my Father

Is never farther

Than a call

Or a cry from my heart.

My Father knows

The depths of my soul

And He holds my spirit

Close to His own.

The lies of the enemy will not overcome me, no!

My Father pulls me

To His bosom

And keeps me near

To His own heart.

The lies of the enemy will not overcome me, no!

I hear my Father's beating heart

And I pray that mine will be in sync,

'Cause there's a link

Between my Father's heart and mine.

The lies of the enemy will not overcome me, no!

There is nothing on this earth

That could come between my Father and me.

No calamity, no travesty, no circumstance

Can ever push me away

From my daddy in realms heavenly.

The lies of the enemy will not overcome me, no!

Because my Father,

He made the trees,

The birds and the bees.

He made the horses and the deer.

He knows my every care.

No one can do or say anything

That will ever change

The reality of my Father and me.
